EA recently went through a bit of rebranding with its Access subscription services, boiling down EA Access and Origin Access into EA Play. Now that the new branding is in effect, it has been revealed when EA Play is coming to Steam.
The EA page on the Steam store recently updated to include the new EA Play brand, however, it also included when to expect the subscription service on Steam. According to the page, EA Play will officially arrive on Steam on August 31st. This comes just a little shy of a year after it was announced that the subscription service would be coming to Valve’s platform.
When EA Play arrives on Steam at the end of the month, users will be able to take advantage of the benefits that come with the subscription service, but on Valve’s platform. This will include getting access to a collection of EA’s games, saving 10% on digital purchases, trying select games for up to 10 hours before purchasing, and exclusive rewards.
For those who don’t know, EA Play is $4.99 a month and includes all of the benefits previously listed. The service is currently available on PC via Origin, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with the Steam arrival set for the end of this month. Should fans want to get a little more from the service, EA Play Pro is available at $14.99 a month, but only on the Origin launcher. This includes early access to deluxe versions of new games, unlimited access to The Pro Play List, and more rewards and content. It’s certainly not a bad deal, especially if a lot of the titles you enjoy happen to be from EA.
