Dragonsplague has taken the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 by surprise, leaving players with devastating results if they’re not fast enough to catch it on their main Pawn. However, a poster on Reddit has come up with a great way to signal to a Pawns Master that not all things may be as they appear.
As suggested by u/New-Menu9394, the idea of sending a particular item back to an owner to signal that their pawn may be infected with this terrible disease is a great idea. Wilted Flowers have no real use beyond their significance, but other players have suggested other ideas that fall within the same realm of possibility.
As u/HaxtonSale mentions, the idea of sending back a rotten/spoiled item is great for a few reasons — it not only shows the Arisen that their Pawn has been tainted by the Dragonsplague but also comes with the added benefit of being craftable into other things such as Lantern Oil. No matter which option you prefer, it’s a great method that I hope gets adopted by more players to avoid the calamity that is Dragonsplague.
While the majority of fans are on board with either option, it would be great to have a unified signal to showcase when our Pawns are coming down with the ick. This is something that can unleash unappalled destruction upon your world if not caught right away, so coming up with a creative way to show that something is wrong without words is important and it appears that a community-wide effort is underway toward making this happen.
Otherwise, you’ve got the option to just toss a pawn into the Brine and wash your hands of the situation. I wouldn’t recommend that unless it’s your Main Pawn, but it could be one of the easiest ways to avoid any issues of your own.
