Dr Stone Season 2 Renewal Confirmed

The first season of Dr Stone ran for a total of 24 episodes this year, and it was teased by the Shonen Jump serialization in the latest issue that something noteworthy was currently in the works for Dr Stone. Well, as per expectations that it would be a renewal announcement of the anime, we’re definitely far from disappointed because of the news.

While Season 1 was a great introduction to the topsy-turvy world inhabited by the characters of Dr Stone and how the power of science can bring about transformative change. A bit like a jaunt through re-living the industrial ages but with incredibly stylized anime boys, we found that the anime was a huge breath of fresh air when it came to reimagining the common trope of survivors getting along at the end of the world, and we’re excited to see what’s next judging by the trailer above.

It looks like this next season is going to tackle the Stone Wars story arc from the manga, which was kicked off in earlier episodes of Season 1 of the Dr Stone anime and will be followed by the Source of the Petrification arc which should give us more of an idea of some of the mysteries around the state of the world.
