The new chapter for Capcom’s highly successful Resident Evil 5 is set for release on 3rd March on Xbox Live and 4th March on the PlayStation Network and puts players in control of Josh Stone.

Josh’s task in Desperate Escape is to help Jill Valentine (who’s massively worse for wear due to some mind control meddling she’s had to suffer) to escape the Tricell facility.

The chapter sees the two escaping mercs fleeing in the night, their final objective being to go help Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar in their fight against Albert Wesker.

Capcom are also planning to release a second Costume Pack, which includes a Heavy Metal outfit for Chris and a Business suit for Sheva.

The costume and extra characters provided in these packs include unique loadouts and will all be available for use in Mercenaries mode.

If you want Lost in Nightmares and/or the Costume pack 1, they’re available 17th February on 360 and 18th February on PS3.

Desperate Escape and Costume Pack 2 will be out 3rd March on Xbox 360 and 4th March on PS3.

There’s a Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition coming out on March 9th, which includes all the DLC and will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3. Those with a PS3 get all the content on one disk while those with a 360 will get the game and a download code for the add-ons.
