Death Stranding Director’s Cut Release Date and New Enhancements Shown During State of Play

This latest trailer showcased quite a bit of new content being added to the game. Have you ever wanted to catapult your cargo across the world, well now you can with the, yep you guessed it, Cargo Catapult.

The game is also adding enhancements to the combat system like improved melee combat, new weapons like the mounted machiner gun and Maser gun, as well as a firing range to test out your shooting prowess.

On top of all of this, the Director’s Cut will also feature a racing circuit builder to drive cars around, and brand new story content. We didn’t get much information on the new story content but you can check out the glimpses in the trailer below.

The trailer shows some new environments like an underground base, a graveyard in a blue flower field, and even what looks like a dumping ground for baby pods.

We’re certainly curious to see more from the Director’s Cut when it releases on September 24, 2021.
