In Hellraid (formerly known as Project Hell), players will experience a new first-person action/adventure as they battle devilish demons while working alongside a friend in co-op.  According to Techland, the game first started out as an “internal weapon mod for Dead Island” before expanding into a full experience.

“The armies of Hell brought pain and destruction to the realm of man, and only a select few have the fighting skills necessary to confront the devilish monstrosities,” said a description for the game.  Players can either go solo in the single player campaign or team up with three fellow players in a co-op mode, where they’ll be engaged in a “battle for points, rewards and fame.”

The game is slated for release later this year on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  Though it doesn’t have a publisher yet, don’t be surprised if Riptide publisher Deep Silver steps up.  Deep Silver is also working on Ride to Hell: Retribution for release sometime this Summer, so you could say it’s having a…Hell of a year?
