David Jaffe knows how to put together some great games, whether it’s action titles like God of War or driving combat games like the unrivaled Twisted Metal series. So why give up a good thing?
Jaffe announced today that he has aligned with the team at Pixelbionic to work on a new online PC multiplayer game called Autoduel. It features a similar take on car combat with its own fresh coat of paint and a whole lot of vehicular carnage.
Said Jaffe, who serves as creative director on the project, “I was super-excited when I heard Pixelbionic’s vision for Autoduel. As a huge fan of the genre, I’m really looking forward to contributing to the game’s vision and design goals.”
The game will soon begin a Kickstarter crowd funding program to get development under way. From what we’re hearing so far, it’s quite different from the other combat games out there with its role-playing style progression, customization system and multiplayer angle. We can’t wait to trash our friends…
We’ll have more details on Autoduel in the months ahead. In the meantime, welcome back, Jaffe!
