CD Projekt RED has already proven that they know how to weave an incredible narrative tale with their iconic The Witcher series and fans are just as hyped about their new IP, Cyberpunk 2077, as well. But it looks like the Polish studio has their sights set on even more out of Night City because a new report suggests that three new Cyberpunk games are in development.
Polish business site Bankier recently revealed a conversation with CD Projekt RED’s CEO and the studio’s President concerning the alleged three new projects. President Adam Kicinski and CEO Piotr Nielubowicz issued the following statement (via an online translator): “Our next big project will be in the ‘Cyberpunk’ universe, and we’re already working on it and treat it as a really big and innovative project for us.”
What are the three new Cyberpunk games from CD Projekt RED?
One of the three projects is reportedly a standalone multiplayer mode for Cyberpunk 2077. Not much is known outside of that unfortunately and the information about the remaining two projects is even more of a mystery. According to recent reports, however, each of the three projects has unique teams attached to them with the core team still hard at work on Cyberpunk 2077.
With Cyberpunk 2077 being an adaptation of an incredible tabletop experience, there is a lot of material to go around to continue building this video game empire not unlike what they did for The Witcher. It’s exciting to see the very least and we can’t wait to see what else this amazing studio has up their sleeve!
As for the game itself, Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 16, 2020.
