We will be here when it's ready.

Today Studio MDHR announced that it would be pushing back the release of the Cuphead DLC “The Delicious Last Course.”  They have a prepared statement, which you can read below.

“Meeting this standard has been extremely challenging for us amid the global pandemic that has affected so many of our fellow developers. Rather than compromise our vision in response to COVID, we’ve made the difficult decision to push back the release of The Delicious Last Course until we are confident it will delight the Cuphead community the way we feel it should”

Adjusting to the work from home lifestyle has been difficult for many development studios, as we’ve seen with game delays from 343 Studios, CD Projekt Red, and now even Studio MDHR.

Developing a game under normal circumstances is already a stressful and challenging job, so having to change up the workflow structure is sure to put a wrench in things. So rather than put out something the team isn’t confident in, the game has been delayed until further notice.

In the meantime, that just means you still have time to finish CUphead if you haven’t. At this point, it’s on just about every platform you can think of—PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC, and even Tesla Cars.

Whenever The Delicious Last Course does release, we will be there ready to hop back into Inkfell and see how the final chapter of this adventure wraps up. If you still want your fill of Cuphead, don’t forget there is an animated series coming to Netflix sometime in the future, so Cuphead isn’t quite done yet.

Game delays happen; the world is a difficult place for many people right now. Are you excited to finally play The Delicious Last Course? Let us know on the official Prima Twitter and Facebook page.
