CD Projekt Red has finally given an official response in regards to its seizure triggering light use in the game Cyberpunk 2077. While not intentional, it certainly is an oversight as no one should have to be worried about having an attack while trying to enjoy a video game.
CD Projekt Red Responds To Epilepsy Concerns, Promises Changes Coming “Soon”
This was first reported by Associate Editor Liana Ruppert of Game Informer when she gave her accounts on her time spent with the game and wrote a helpful guide on how other players can avoid the same fate she experienced.
Below you can read the official statement from CD Projekt Red.
Thank you for bringing this up. We’re working on adding a separate warning in the game, aside from the one that exists in the EULA (https://t.co/eXpPn73VSK). Regarding a more permanent solution, Dev team is currently exploring that and will be implementing it as soon as possible. https://t.co/lXFypnSit2

Thank you for bringing this up. We’re working on adding a separate warning in the game, aside from the one that exists in the EULA (https://cyberpunk.net/en/user-agreement/). Regarding a more permanent solution, Dev team is currently exploring that and will be implementing it as soon as possible.
While this was a significant oversight on CD Projekt Red’s part, they must be held accountable, and we need to make sure they uphold their promise to fix it. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to be one of the most popular games of the year, and it should be safe and inclusive for everyone to experience.
While Cyberpunk 2077 hosts other problems such as poor representation, bugs, and other problems, no game should ever induce seizures in its audience.
We hope that everyone remains safe while playing the game, and be sure to take breaks and take care of yourself if you begin to experience something unusual.
