Konami confirmed that they will be releasing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate on March 5th, 2013. The game is designed as an intermediary entry in the Lords of Shadow series and will be exclusive to the 3DS.
“A new trailer for the action packed title has also been released, featuring Trevor Belmont’s story,” announced Konami. “Dracula’s return is explained during an emotional farewell between Trevor and his son, Simon. Trevor reveals his quest for vengeance of his mother’s murder, at the hands of his father (Gabriel Belmont/Dracul), and gives Simon a pendant that contains a piece of the Mirror of Fate.”
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate was developed by Mercury Steam, taking place 25 years after the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. The game serves as a precursor to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, which is expected to release in 2013 for PS3, PC and Xbox 360.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate details the story of Gabriel Belmont’s descendants, Simon and Trevor Belmont, as they battle their own destiny only to discover their own shocking fate. Watch a new trailer for the game on YouTube.
