Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Collision Issues Fix In Progress

Infinity Ward is looking into reports of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Collision issues.

Online games and issues, they’re synonymous, and Call of Duty players, in particular, are definitely privy to some of the more frustrating ones. With unbalanced game mechanics, weird glitches – a lot can go wrong in an online environment but it seems like the latest ire of the community is from a recent update where Infinity Ward implemented friendly player collision. This was generally regarded as a bad move, so now the studio is “looking into” the prevalent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Collision issues.

One Infinity dev took to Reddit to share with players that they are actively looking into the issue. Infinity Ward’s Joel Emslie, “We are definitely looking into that. I’m not sure if the fix is in flight or still being worked on.” He then added that the fix was in fact in flight, though unfortunately, that means we don’t know if it will be implemented in the next update or not, but it’s comforting at least to see that they are aware of the discontent and how that move disrupted the overall balance of the game.

It’s understandable that the playerbase wasn’t happy with the change. You already have to worry about the enemy team, having your teammate bump into you and ruin your K/D is a huge bummer, though does add to the realism that they’ve been striving for with this title.

Hopefully, the fix will be implemented soon and players can go back to not bumping into each other ruthlessly with collision changes. As for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at base, the game is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
