Gearbox is wanting to raise some money as COVID continues to be a medical concern in many areas around the world. To try and help provide protective equipment for medical workers, the dev team behind Borderlands 3 has added new in-game masks that players can purchase with those proceeds going right to charity.

The team took to Twitter to provide a link to donate equipment to healthcare workers still battling COVID-19, especially with so many areas opening back up for the public. The mask seen below is called the “antisocial mask,” which is appropriate, and purchasing one of these bad boys helps raise some money for a good cause.

The cosmetic mask is easy to get, with a minimum donation of just $5.00 using this link here.

While many areas have seen a downturn, with New Zealand eradicating the virus completely, others are seeing spikes after many locations opened up to the public during Memorial Day Weekend. Since then, numerous instances, including global protests, holidays, and a general lift of restrictions, have caused other places to see an upturn in confirmed cases. Supplies are still low, so anything and everything helps when making sure that the healthcare workers on the front lines are properly equipped.

Plus, new cosmetic. It’s a win/win.

There are other options as well, with Zane, Amara, Moze, and Fl4k mask packs as well as a Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition as well! It’s pretty nifty, and an awesome way for fans to give back while celebrating a game they love.
