In 1994, Mike Stragey and Chris Tremmel made a different kind of platforming adventure with Interplay’s Boogerman, a grossly hilarious side-scrolling adventure where you play a superhero who burps and farts his way to glory. No, we’re not kidding. How else do you expect to beat snot monsters?
Now, 20 years later, the two programmers have reteamed in an effort to bring back Boogerman for an all-new game. They recently launched a new Kickstarter that’s asking for $375,000 to bring him back in an all-new HD adventure, in time for his 20th anniversary.
The game will feature all new levels and enemies, while utilizing a number of Boogerman’s old-school talents – yes, this means the return of burps and farts. If it meets its funding, the game will release for various platforms, including PlayStation 4, PS Vita and Wii U.
So far, the funding sits at only over $6,000, way short of its $375,000 goal – but there’s still 34 days to go. You can find more information about it here. “BOOGER!”
