Blissey is Joining the Egg-Cellent Roster of Pokemon Unite This Week

Will the egg puns ever stop? Will I have another eggistential crisis?

Pokemon Unite launched on Nintendo Switch a few weeks ago and has already received a number of updates and balance changes. Alongside these changes the game has also received Gardevoir, a ranged attacker, and today, the next Pokemon joining the roster has been unveiled.

Blissey is Joining the Egg-Cellent Roster of Pokemon Unite This Week

Blissy, the evolution of Chansey, is an all-new support Pokemon. Currently, the main support Pokemon players have been using is Eldegoss, so another option for support players is a welcomed addition.

This announcement comes from the Pokemon Unite Twitter account.

“Blissey is an egg-cellent Supporter Pokemon with moves that heal, or increase basic attack speed! Its Unite Move, Bliss Assistance, allows it to dash to an ally’s aid and protect that ally from attacks. Bring your allies happiness with Blissey, coming 8/18 to Pokemon unite.”

It is a little surprising to see Blissey come before the defender Blastoise. Blastoise was in the mobile beta for the game and was previously revealed to be coming to the official lineup.

We’re unsure why Blissey is coming first, maybe it’s a balance thing or there is just a stronger need for Support Pokemon at this time. Whatever the reason may be, fans should still be on the lookout for Blastoise to come to the game soon.
