Behaviour Sees “No Reason” to Make Dead by Daylight Sequel

A lead from Behaviour talks about Dead by Daylight's future.

The developers of Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive, have gone on record to state that there’s no chance for a sequel to happen just yet. As such, fans of the game can rest easy knowing that it will still have plenty of content to develop or, as Behaviour said, “there’s more stories to tell.”

This was said during an interview with MP1st regarding the Alien crossover. During the interview, the game developers were asked if there was the possibility of having a sequel for Dead by Daylight in the works. The developers at Behaviour stated that they didn’t have plans for any sort of sequel just yet and that they specifically wanted to focus on expanding the core game.

Mathieu Côté, Head of Partnerships for Behaviour Interactive, said, “We want to focus on our core game and continue to expand. Dead by Daylight is not going anywhere, there’s still so many stories to tell, and so there’s no reason for us to start a new one.”

This isn’t entirely shocking considering the success Dead By Daylight has seen with its collaborations. From Alien to Silent Hill, the game shows no signs of stopping, and fans are still enthralled with playing as Nic Cage.

This should leave players wondering what awaits Dead by Daylight when it comes to future collaborations. The game has brought to life some of the most bizarre collaboration projects with horror icons, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to stop anytime soon. With this and what the directive said in mind, there’s plenty of room for speculation about new Survivors and Killers.
