Battlefield 2042’s Explosive Reveal Trailer Shows Off Tornados, Jets, & More

After an hour-long countdown, the Battlefield reveal trailer finally went live. It’s a blend between modern-military mostly, but some new stuff did catch our eye. A giant lightning-wielding tornado ripped through a city create havoc for the infantry on the ground as well as the city buildings themselves.

A man propels himself out of a fighter jet, launches a rocket into a pursing plane, and then lands back in the jet like nothing happened.

In a release given to press, Battlefield 2042 will feature Specialists, which are a new take on the class-based system fans are familiar with.

“As a Specialist, players will have access to a cutting-edge arsenal of weapons, equipment, and vehicles to use in battle. These powerful new tools give creative players a wealth of options as they find the perfect combination to fit their play style and outsmart and outgun opponents on the battlefield.”

While the trailer didn’t provide a ton of information on the game, luckily the Steam description gave a little more insight.

“With support for 128 players, Battlefield 2042 brings unprecedented scale on vast battlegrounds across the globe. Players will take on several massive experiences, from updated multiplayer modes like Conquest and Breakthrough to the all-new Hazard Zone.”

The gameplay reveal will be on June 13, so be sure to be on the lookout for that.

Battlefield 2042 will release on October 22 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
