Today, Turtle Rock has announced that its Left 4 Dead spiritual Successor Back 4 Blood has been delayed to October 12, 2021. This announcement comes from the Back 4 Blood Twitter account. The statement can be seen below.
Back 4 Blood Delayed To October 12, Open Beta Coming This Year

“Turtle Rock Studios is working hard to make Back 4 Blood the best game it can possibly be at launch and the team needs more time to do this. Therefore, we wil release Back 4 Blood on October 12, 2021. We thank our community for its continued support and are excited to share that there will be an open beta this summer. “
There was a technical alpha late last year which showed a lot of promise, however, it’s clear the team has grander ambitions for the game and the original June release date wouldn’t be enough time.
It’s no surprise many games are being delayed as the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic has put plenty of game developers in tough positions with the work-from-home transition.
There is no official word on when the open beta for the game will be, but we look forward to seeing more from Back 4 Blood soon.
