The Game Awards was full of exciting reveals, awards were given, and some genuinely bizarre moments. One of the most significant announcements of the night was the announcement of a new Armored Core developed by From Software. Armored Core VI FIres of Rubicon launches in 2023.

Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon Trailer Shows Big Mechs & Is Releasing Next Year

The first release of Armored Core was in 1997, and since then, we’ve had quite a few, but the franchise has been dormant since 2012. During The Game Awards, we got a trailer for the next entry ten years later. Fires of Rubicon doesn’t have any gameplay yet, but the CG trailer is more than enough to get fans, new and old, into it.

Get hyped with this three-minute trailer, and hold on because we don’t have to wait much longer to play the game. It’s out next year, and we’re excited to see much more soon.

Sure there were mobile games, spin-offs, and other weird entries, but a new mainline Armored Core entry is a huge deal. From Software has earned plenty of goodwill and is even up for the Game of the Year Award tonight for Elden Ring, which took the world by storm.

The trailer showcases plenty of new mechs, heated battles, and some excellent CG.
