Hot on the heels of the Suicide Squad game DC announcement, Marvel found a way back into headlines with a possible new Fortnite crossover. Fortnite and Marvel are good friends by now with the previous Thanos event and an Avengers-driven experience one year later. What’s next for the Fortnite x Marvel shenanigans? Some crafty battle royale fans think they’ve found the answer after some investigating.

Twitter user ‘HypeX’ is no stranger to releasing accurate leaks with his latest being a spectrogram based off of the Rift sound. When looking at the spectrogram, a clear figure can be seen, and some are thinking that it could be Gaglactus; a prominent villain.

One user lightened up the image saying that the helmet makes it look like it could be someone else, but you decide:

Others sounded off that it doesn’t look like a Marvel nod at all, instead saying that the likeness looks more like the Storm King than anything else, though I have to say I personally disagree with that comparison. With the recent DC skins in-game concerning Aquaman, this may not be a Marvel tease at all – instead it could be another hint regarding Atlantis. Or it could just be another new character, we just don’t know, but it’s fun to speculate!

It’s essential to keep in mind that this is purely speculation and nothing has been confirmed at this time by Epic Games. That being said, Fortnite dominates when it comes to expansive in-game events. From going to space to actual concerts – even movie screenings – there is limit to what this battle royale adventure has to offer. Pairing that with Epic’s close relationship with Marvel, and this find isn’t that far-fetched.

What do you think the above image is likened to? Do you think this is a hidden tease of a new Marvel event? If not, what do you think it is? Sound off with your thoughts over on Twitter @PrimaGames, we’d love to get those sleuthing theories going!
