Activision announced today that it will release Angry Birds Trilogy for both the original Wii as well as the Wii U on August 13th.  The game is expected to retail for $39.99.

The package includes three Angry Birds games to choose from – the original, Rio and Seasons – and will feature additional gameplay enhancements for both systems.  On the Wii, you’ll be able to use motion controls to launch birds.  With the Wii U version, you’ll be able to use the GamePad for precision aiming and can play in off-TV mode.  You’ll also be able to access online leaderboards, so you can play along with your friends.

Activision released a new trailer for the game.
