Evert wanted to taste your own homemade Survival Burguer, or maybe know what a Pink Cake actually tastes like? If the answer is yes, this is your chance as the official Stardew Valley Cookbook is finally coming to life. Game developer Eric Barone, better known as ConcernedApe, just made the announcement on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account, and the book’s cover is already watering me up!

The book will include 50 recipes for many of the recipes you can find in the game. Aside from those already mentioned in his post, we can also see other dishes on the cover, such as the Lucky Lunch and the Vegetable Medley. The cover’s art is provided by Keri Fri

Many other games, such as Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy XIV, and even Overwatch, have had their own cookbooks for a while, so it was just a matter of time until Stardew Valley also got one of its own. I would even say it took them long enough, but we’re glad that it’s finally here. Or almost, at least.

The official cookbook is scheduled to be released in Spring 2024, so we’ll have to wait a good while before discovering how good the recipes brought to us in the indie game that has become a staple in the farming simulator genre since it was first released back in 2016.

Fans are also excited about this release. One of the most liked comments in his post is about how everyone will finally discover what Seafoam Pudding actually tastes like. In-game, this particular recipe is made with two fish and squid ink, which initially doesn’t sound like something I would serve to anyone I care about. But cookbooks always give those strange dishes a small twist, and I’m excited to see what they have prepared for us in this one!
