AMC Snags Alan Wake TV, Remastered Coming to Switch

There’s some Alan Wake news today, folks. Somehow, there’s more Alan Wake happening in 2022 than has happened in the last five or more years. An anniversary stream was held today with Sam Lake and others from Remedy, making a couple announcements and showing art for Alan Wake 2. The biggest news, though, is an upcoming (potentially) AMC TV adaptation.

Lake noted during the stream that AMC has acquired the TV rights for Alan Wake, and is working with Remedy on “making a TV show happen.” So we’re likely talking super early in the pre-production phase, maybe even still conceptualizing what the show is. But it’s coming, and AMC certainly has a good reputation with adaptations with The Walking Dead and Preacher.

The stream opened with a Nintendo Switch appearance, of course, and Lake confirmed Alan Wake Remastered is coming to that platform soon. No release date was provided. Alan Wake 2 seems to be progressing as well, and is still sporting a 2023 release window.
