Players will finally be able to play together starting on October 6, when the Crossplay Beta launches alongside the new Aftermarket Collection Event. Crossplay brings together Xbox, PlayStation, and PC players.

Now you can play with your friends and family no matter what platform everyone is on. Of course, this isn’t the only thing happening in this event. The trailer, which can be seen below, also shows off some of the new cosmetic items players will be able to obtain throughout the event.

The limited-time mode called Flashpoint will create a whole new way for players to engage with Apex Legends. The EA website talks about what players can expect from this new mode.

“The centerpiece of this mode are Flash Points, massive zones dotted around towns in Kings Canyon. Flash Points are special because they regenerate your health and shields over time to get you healed and ready for combat in a flash ( ba dum-tss ). Learn where these are quickly because healing items do not spawn in this mode – Flashpoints are crucial to helping you stay alive.”

This certainly is enough to change up your strategies on its own, but one other note about this mode is that the circle will always be closing. You’ll have to stay on the move constantly. This is sure to create some genuinely chaotic moments for squads.

This event also brings 24 new limited-time cosmetic items to Apex Legends. You can obtain these items through direct purchase or Event Apex Packs in-game. Each pack is guaranteed to have one event item and two non-event items, so it’s going to take a lot of playing to collect them all.

One other way to net some other cosmetic items is through the new Aftermarket Prize track, which works the same as the Battle Pass. It’s available starting on October 6.
