During the Activision-Blizzard earnings call today, the company dropped some major news about its plans for mobile. Starting with its interest in making more of its already owned IP into mobile games. This is no surprise as Call of Duty Mobile continues to do exceptionally well in China.
Activision Putting A Big Focus On Mobile, Crash Bandicoot: On The Run Launching Later This Month
King Games, known for Candy Crush, will be bringing Crash Bandicoot On The Run to mobile platforms this month. No specific release date was given, but it’s coming soon.
The company also went on to talk about the mobile Diablo game announced a few years back at Blizzcon. Diablo Immortals has had multiple regional tests and is performing well, according to Activision.
Diablo Immortal is set to launch this year. No further date has been given at this time.
Activision also stated that King Games is also working on other mobile titles with existing IP outside of these two games. Could it be Overwatch, Warcraft? Who knows, but it sounds like we’re going to learn more soon.
