The Season of the Seraph is reaching its finale, and Lightfall is just around the corner. For many players, Lightfall represents the coming of “Destiny 3”, as this expansion promises to offer a new world, new mechanics, a new subclass, and, more importantly, new gear. And in the latest trailer released by Bungie, we get a sneak peek into Light’s newest arsenal of weapons and gear in Destiny 2.
A Sneak Peek into Lightfall’s Newest Arsenal of Weapon and Gear in Destiny 2
On January 31, 2023, Bungie released a new trailer showcasing various weapons and armor. Like all trailers for Lightfall so far, they’ve been beautifully and cinematically edited.
But let’s cut right to the chase. What do we know about the gear? Fortunately, Bungie’s given us a little taste of both weapon names and a hint at what they do.
All Sneak Peek Exotic Weapons in Destiny 2’s Lightfall
Final Warning is a Strand sidearm with Charged Tracking Rounds, which will seek out nearby enemies, effectively letting you aimbot.
Deterministic Chaos is an Exotic machine gun with Rhythmic Debuffs, with the fourth shot weakening enemies. The 16th shot makes enemies volatile, making it an excellent gun for mob control.
Quicksilver Storm is a Catalyst that can shoot grenades that create Tangles on kill.
Winterbite is an Exotic Stasis glaive that freezes enemies on impact with frost orbs.
All Sneak Peek Exotic Armor in Destiny 2’s Lightfall
Cyrtarachne’s Façade is an Exotic Hunter helmet for the Strand subclass. When the wearer uses Grapple, they’ll gain woven mail, granting them extra protection and flinch resistance. This resistance continues after the Grapple ends. Looks more ideal for PvP scenarios, where precise aim matters most.
Abeyant Leap is an Exotic Titan leg armor. When the wearer uses barricade, a wave-like projectile will spawn from that barricade. If this wave hits enemies, they’ll be suspended in the air, and the wearer will receive additional armor.
Swarmers is an Exotic Warlock leg armor that will allow the wearer to create Threading to infest and attack enemies after destroying a Tangle.

The new subclass, Strand, will play a large part in Lightfall, so it’s likely that we’ll see even more unique weapons and armor that capitalize on it in the weeks to come.
