Stellar Blade

Upcoming PS5 exclusive Stellar Blade might have grabbed the headlines for certain reasons, but there’s no denying the fact that it has potential. The game could actually become one of the better hack-and-slash hybrids set to come out in 2024. Players will get into the boots of Eve, who yields a mighty sword to get the better of her enemies.

The plot looks pretty interesting, and fans can also expect advanced features like Haptic Feedback from their DualSense controllers. Currently, a demo is available for all interested players to test out the basics.

Players will be fighting alien invaders called the Naytiba, who have claimed Earth and driven away all the humans. The demo has showcased the dynamic combat system which will require accurate prediction of the enemy’s attacks. It’s a fresh IP, and the single-player campaign could delight those who love narrative-rich experiences.

TopSpin 2K25

After several years, Tennis fans can rejoice as their prayers have been heard. 2K Games, who already have a fair share of experience when it comes to sports games, are ready to go live in April. Things look pretty ambitious from the outset, with some of the biggest stars being selected as cover athletes. The first glimpses thus far have been promising, but it’s going to be a major relaunch of the brand, so the stakes will be quite high for this release.

Like real life, the onus will be for players to win the Grand Slam, and play across all the iconic venues. While there will be both single-player modes and online matches, both legends and current-era superstars will be present.

Children of the Sun

Release Date: April 9

Devolver Digital seems to have built a reputation around uncanny video games, and Children of the Sun could be the next one. It could also become one of those video game releases that flies under the radar, but the third-person puzzle-shooter has a pretty interesting premise. Players will be unleashing vengeance on an evil cult and their members, but unlike traditional shooters, they can control the bullet. Moreover, there will be the ability to replay levels to determine different outcomes as well. It’s safe to keep an eye out for Children of the Sun, which comes out on April 9 for PC players.

While the main aim is to take down the LEADER, players will have to go through the lower members first. To execute a kill, there will be different ways available. They can take the direct approach or trigger a trap to complete their task. A demo is also available on Steam.

No Rest for the Wicked

Release Date: April 16

Another summer brings another ARPG, and No Rest for the Wicked could go on to become a surprise hit. The game launches globally on early access, and players will be fighting the Pestilence, which is described as a major evil. There’s support for both single-player and co-op with up to 3 other friends, there will be no shortage of action. While No Rest for the Wicked promises enthralling action, unique weapons, and builds, the middle of April will clear how much it delivers on its potential.

No Rest for the Wicket will also feature something called the Sacrament. This could certainly make the game feel unique from other ARPGs. The Sacrament will be a safe haven for the players, and allow them to meet with NPCs and traders.

Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes

Release Date: April 23

The Eiyuden Chronicles franchise has managed to create a unique place among fans of RPG games, and the previous games belonging to the same universe have been pretty good. But that won’t guarantee success for Hundred Heroes when it goes live on April 23. It will feature a narrative-reach plot for fans to enjoy, and the Kickstarter success has ensured a bigger release that everyone will be able to enjoy.
