Top 5 Games to Buy in the Steam Spring Sale 2024

If you have money burning a hole in your pocket and want to pick up a fantastic game for an even better discount, look no further than the list below.

Deep Rock Galactic

Deep Rock Galactic was the OG Helldivers 2 before the actual Helldivers 2 came out. While you can’t die by being blown away by friendly fire, Deep Rock Galactic is a fantastic co-op game. You play as a miner sent out to space on an expedition across various planets and biomes, which all have their fair share of resources and dangers. The onus is to escape successfully once your quest is complete.

This is easier said than done as the bugs (mostly, it’s always the spiders) will do their utmost to ensure you can’t escape. Over the years, the developers have added plenty of post-launch content for free. This indie sensation is certainly worth picking up during the Steam Spring Sale 2024.

Hogwarts Legacy

There has been no shortage of drama and controversies over Hogwarts Legacy, and some gamers have had strong opinions regarding the title. One year later, Hogwarts Legacy had an impressive launch and did very well financially. It was the perfect video game that Harry Potter fans had been asking for over a decade.

The single-player title is available on the Steam Spring Sale 2024 at a 50% discount. As long as you have a PC that can run it well, Hogwarts Legacy is certainly a great deal.

No Man’s Sky

No Man’s Sky is, in my opinion, the best redemption arc in the video game industry. Hello Games managed to fix all of the issues in its space exploration game, and the game today is totally different from what it was in 2016. Most of the promised features that were nowhere to be found once are now available. What’s impressive is Hello Games’ continued work with No Man’s Sky, and to date, there hasn’t been word of a single paid expansion.

With a 50% discount, No Man’s Sky is currently available on a 2-year record low price. While you do end up saving money by getting it during the sale, you also manage to enjoy every expansion added to it, and more if Hello Games continues to add things in the future.

Diablo 4

This one is a really conflicting entry because there are several deficiencies with Diablo 4. In fact, certain areas of criticism against Blizzard (mostly the microtransactions) are fair. At its core, however, Diablo 4 is an excellent ARPG, and it does have the modern touch that is missing in some of the other games in the same genre.

At its full price, I still feel that Diablo 4 could be a potential miss. However, it’s currently on sale at a 50% discount thanks to the Steam Spring Sale 2024. This is also a record low for the ARPG, so it could be an interesting one to pick.

Batman: Arkham Collection

The last entrant to this list is a rather old trilogy considering this is 2024. However, it’s arguably three of the finest superhero games that I have played. Since Suicide Squad Kills the Justice League is just a disappointment and Gotham Knights is mediocre at best, why not give the Arkham Trilogy another shot?

While the graphics might slightly feel dated, you get excellent gameplay mechanics, strong missions, great characters, and well-optimized settings. Sometimes the modern generation of video games can miss some or all of these aspects, but Rocksteady didn’t do so with the Arkham Trilogy. All three games, along with all of the post-launch content, are now available at an 85% discount.
