Version 3: It's a Three-Peat, baby! Let's get ready for the weekend.

We once again have that Friday feeling here in the Prima Games offices, and we’re ready to break away from our PCs and get gaming once again. When we aren’t providing you with the best tips and tricks, we’re learning the ins and outs of our favorite games. Whether we’re revisiting a favorite franchise for another swing through the park, or just getting ready for the next installment in a sports franchise, we always have something fun on our plates.

After just finishing Ratchet & Clank for the umpteenth time, this weekend I’m overly amped to get some web-slinging done in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Watching all of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s trailers with Venom just got me in the mood to sling around New York as your friendly neighborhood Spiderman. So I’m going to restart the game, up the tempo and difficulty a lot, and catch all the bad guys I can.

When I’m done with that, it’s back to my Madden NFL 24 preparations with some online battles and some skill training sessions in Madden 23. Gotta put in the work, you know!

Madison Benson – Pikmin 4 & The Sims 4

It’s the weekend of fours for me! This time, when I’m not playing through the newest Sims 4 expansion, Horse Ranch, I’ll be enjoying the fourth addition to one of my favorite childhood game series. I’m optimistic about one of them; I’ll let you guess which one it is!

Shawn Robinson – Borderlands 2/Assassin’s Creed 2

I’ll be delving deeper into a new playthrough of Borderlands 2 I’m doing! I’ve played the game numerous times throughout the years and it still is one of my favorite games ever, thanks to that excellent story and deep build-crafting. I’m trying a Zero playthrough this time around since he’s a character I don’t think I’ve properly completed the game with yet. Young attention-spanless me couldn’t get into how weak his clone ult is at the start, but it’s going much better this time around. Otherwise, will be trying to actually play Assassin’s Creed 2 this time since I was caught up with my review of Remnant 2 for a little while there.

Shaun Cichacki – Dead by Daylight/Picross E

Once again, I’m being drug back into the Fog of Dead by Daylight. However, instead of pouring countless hours into my Killer game like I normally am, but rather focusing on my Survivor game. What better way to learn the layout of the map and get into the mind games of a Survivor than to play as one?

When I’m not running around a terrifying Hellscape, however, I’m going to be indulging in some excellent Picross action. I just got my hands on a 3DS after all of these years, so I’m excited to jump in and see

Nikola Jovanovic – Pikmin 4/Undisclosed Disney Game For Switch

Usually when I’m done with reviews and guides for a game, that’s it, but by some miracle, Pikmin 4 still has me. Is it because of the insane post-game content or the fact that I haven’t played that much of the previous sequels Im not sure, but either way I’m having a blast.

The other game that I will be playing a lot this weekend is an Undisclosed Disney Game for Switch, which I have had for a while and is coming out next week. While I can’t say much about it without Mickey Mouse coming to take me to the Disney / Nintendo joint gulag – I can only say that it is also way more addictive than I expected, and that I will share more detailed impressions here and there, when the time comes. So, Nintendo Switch it is for this weekend for me.

Dan Wenerowicz – Spider-Man Remastered/Diablo IV

The Season of the Malignant just came out and it may be one of the last weekends to mindlessly level my Druid before 50 new games release. When I’ve had enough of the Malignant Tunnels in Diablo 4, I’ll be swinging through New York in the Spider-Man PS4 remaster. There’s no better time to get a refresher before the Spider-Man 2 PS5 release.

Nikola L. – Halls of Torment/Dave The Diver/CS: GO

I’m playing Halls of Torment most of the time. It is not fully filling the void that the lack of Vampire Survivors content has left, but it’s engaging enough and I have the drive to achieve 100% of the achievements in the game (178/201 now). I clocked in 24 hours last week, and I’ll probably clock in 24 hours this week too. It’s fun as heck to cover and I have high hopes for the future of this game. Hooray for the Indie scene!

I have scratched the surface of Dave the Diver as well, and the game seems so chill and fun. Other than that, I am preparing for CS2 by playing CS: GO after 5 years of break. It is hard to get back into it after such a long break, and I have already managed to have enough of the shenanigans that Valve should fix with the release of CS2.

Meg Bethany Koepp – Destiny 2/Undisclosed Mystery Game

This weekend, I plan on going in hard on Destiny 2. Not that I don’t do that every weekend because I have no life, but still. I’m trying to earn all of the Secret Triumphs for the ‘Flamekeeper’ Title before the Solstice 2023 event ends. Our Prima Teama Raid group may also try running Garden of Salvation on Sunday, so I’m looking forward to that, even though the final boss kicked our butts the last time we attempted it. I just want Divinity.

I’ll also be playing an upcoming game that I can’t currently mention but that I’m obsessed with. I am counting down the days until I can talk about it because I need to annoy literally everyone by not shutting up about it. I’ve had said game a week and put 30 hours into it already because, again, I have no life. It’s just THAT good. Watch this space!

Matt Vatankhah – FFO: Stranger of Paradise

After over a year of waiting, I’m finally giving into my Final Fantasy obsession and trying Stranger of Paradise for the first time. It’s everything I’d been told; corny writing, exhilarating gameplay, and stuffed full of franchise fanfare. Basically, I’m enjoying every second of it. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve yelled, “GOD I LOVE FINAL FANTASY” while playing. Anyway, every minute I spend writing this is another minute that Chaos lives, and I really wanna kill that guy.
