Lust From Beyond is a horny Lovecraftian nightmare filled with puzzles. This indie title won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s good for those that want to be horny and scared at the same time. A few warnings before proceeding ahead: obviously the trailer is NSFW but beyond that, as an epileptic myself I do need to mention that the trailer has a lot of flashes that could trigger an episode. Proceed with caution, and please be safe.
The Lust From Beyond game is so intense that you have to be signed in to prove age before even looking at the Steam listing. There is nothing subtle about this horror game and it’s definitely not for the shy. You’ve been warned:
This psychological horror thriller is teeming with puzzles, scares, and a narrative designed to mess with your mind. Movie Games Lunarium is back with Beyond, a sequel to Lust for Darkness that was equally unnerving, to bring a “realistic world full of desire, fascination, and fear.”
According to the devs:
Victor Holloway, an antiquarian, is tormented by visions of a sinister land full of lechery and pain. To learn its secrets, he joins the Cult of Ecstasy, whose members seem to know the answers to his disturbing questions. Victor learns the cult’s life from within, getting lost in its blasphemous and sexual customs. Pleasures of this world are soon not enough. The cultists, following Victor’s visions, attempt to enter Lusst’ghaa – the Land of Ecstasy beyond the borders of our reality.
This adventure is heavily inspired by Lovecraft, Giger, Beksinski, and Viagra (kidding on that last part) and will feature puzzles that will make you want to tear your hair out, terrifying monsters, a honed auditory experience, and so much more. As far as indie games go, this one looks to push the boundaries of the freedom that this umbrella offers so if you’re down for terrifying eroticism, we’ve got just the thing for you.
