We’re hours from E3 2014 and all the major publishers already released trailers spotlighting their hottest games. Some are mere teasers designed to get us dreaming of what’s to come, while others go more in-depth, complete with snippets of gameplay.
Which ones are best? These E3 2014 trailers have us ready to pre-order everything when we get home.
What’s your favorite E3 surprise so far?
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
We were 95 percent sure Sony would close its E3 2014 press conference with some Uncharted 4 footage, and while the brief trailer left us wanting more, it was great to see treasure hunter Nathan Drake in all his next generation glory. We certainly hope the game’s title, A Thief’s End, doesn’t imply something bad happens to one of our favorite heroes.
Evolve
It’s easy to forget about this game with more high profile shooters hogging the spotlight, but don’t fall asleep on Evolve. The concept of four players versus a gamer-controlled monster is brilliant, and the game looks extraordinarily intense. We can’t wait to stalk our prey as a Cthulhu-inspired beastie.
Grand Theft Auto 5
Finally! Rockstar officially confirmed GTA 5 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. On top of that, the game looks amazing. Prepare for a next-gen facelift as you cause havoc in Los Santos. We look forward to experiencing this award-winning game all over again.
Batman: Arkham Knight – Batmobile Battle Mode
With all due respect to Christopher Nolan’s epic trilogy, the Batmobile has never looked better. This generous helping of Arkham Knight footage will leave you speechless as Batman goes from gliding through Gotham to instantly hopping into his transforming speed machine and wrecking havoc on evildoers.
Dead Island 2: Official E3 Announce Trailer
We would have preferred actual footage of Dead Island 2 than a computer animated trailer, but come on, this one’s hilarious. Watch as a clueless jogger goes about his business while the zombie apocalypse unfolds in the background. Wait for the ending.
Forza Horizon 2: E3 Gameplay Trailer
Who is down for a road trip? Microsoft’s new open world driving game features 200 high end cars and a variety of exotic locations. You don’t have to be a car aficionado to appreciate this beautiful title.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – Induction Gameplay Video
This is arguably the best trailer at the show. Activision delivered the future of the CoD franchise in a big way, with sci-fi weaponry, thunderous explosions and jaw-dropping graphics. Those who consider Call of Duty the king of the FPS have plenty of ammo thanks to this nine-minute video.
No Man’s Sky Gameplay Trailer
Open world? Try universe. Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky became an instant favorite thanks to endless possibilities. Watch as the player seamlessly transitions from a planet’s surface into space before arriving on yet another world overflowing with alien creatures.
Tom Clancy’s The Division E3 2014 Official Gameplay Demo
Ubisoft perfectly captured New York City in its post apocalyptic shooter. Realistic graphics, co-op gameplay and futuristic weapons round out The Division’s main highlights.
Rise of the Tomb Raider Announce Trailer
We loved the previous Tomb Raider, so this was a pleasant surprise. Lara Croft has no trouble lodging an arrow in some guy’s skull. We have a feeling she’s out for blood this time around.
