Halo 5: Guardians is more than a year away, but hardcore fans will still get their fix this fall with Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The Xbox One exclusive bundle lets players experience the Chief’s incredible journey without having to drag the original Xbox and Xbox 360 from their closets. That alone is worth it, but if you need further convincing, here are three reasons you need Halo: The Master Chief Collection in your life.

You get four Halo games on one disc

The Master Chief Collection includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4. Each game runs at 60 frames per second and 1080p resolution, and 343 Industries paid special attention to Halo 2 with a more next-generation facelift. All told, you’ll have 45 campaign missions and over 100 multiplayer maps.

You also get into the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta

Although it won’t be live immediately, buying The Master Chief Collection automatically grants access to the Halo 5 multiplayer beta, and from what we’ve heard, this is the only way to get into it. Considering the full game won’t appear until late 2015, this is too good an opportunity to pass up.

Halo: Nightfall included

Finally, you’ll have the Ridley Scott produced Halo: Nightfall live action series. Granted, it will also be available on Xbox Live, but it’ll be cool to have in the package.
