If you’re experiencing this issue, there are a few things you’ll need to troubleshoot to determine the problem.

Console Fix

If you’re playing Minecraft on an Xbox console, use the following steps

  • Go to your Xbox Settings, click on “Network Settings,” then “Advanced Settings,” then “Alternate Mac Address.”
  • From there, clear it, and the console will restart.
  • Restart Your Router after doing this.

If this does not work, you will need to reset the Xbox by following these steps.

  • Settings
  • System
  • Console Info
  • Reset this Xbox
  • “Keep my Games and Apps”

This will unlink your Microsoft account, so you’ll need to type in your information upon rebooting the console.

If you’re playing on a Nintendo Switch or PlayStation console, a disconnect from the Microsoft account can indicate a problem on Microsoft’s end. However, a full system reset should fix the problem.
