In order to resize objects in The Sims 4:

  1. Start the game and load your save file
  2. Enter the Build Mode (upper-right wrench & hammer icon)
  3. Find the object that is placed in your home, or put another one from your inventory, then select it
  4. Press Shift + ] to increase the size of the object, or Shift + [ to decrease it. If you are playing on a console it is LT+RT (Xbox) or L2+R2 (PlayStation) + the left or right on the D-Pad. The Left makes it smaller, and the Right makes it bigger.
  5. Exit Build Mode by clicking the icon again, to go back to Live Mode.

So there you have it, it is really that simple. Once you know the keyboard/gamepad shortcuts you can easily change the size of objects in the Build Mode. As we said, it is a regular function from the base game, no cheat codes, expansions, or mods are required, you are free to resize items as you like, so go wild and put those gigantic toilet shrines all over your Sims 4 neighborhood.
