Crosshair customization is now “a must-have” option within every modern FPS game, especially if it’s a competitive title. Different players have different preferences when it comes to settings in CS:GO, and it’s nothing different when we start discussing different crosshairs various professional players use, let alone casual players. Prima Games is delivering the best free crosshair generator tool for CS:GO, which you too can use and make your own favorite crosshair for competitive matchmaking.

How to Create Your Crosshair in CS:GO for Free

Creating a Crosshair for CS:GO is made easy thanks to a great third-party tool found on Dathost.net.
Once you open the tool you will see an example default crosshair on Dust II. This is a great location to test the tool because you can drag the crosshair across differently lit and differently colored surfaces, and CT/T characters. You can change the background on which you are testing the crosshair in the bottom-left part of the page.

On the right side, you have different options and sliders for them:

  • Alpha determines the visibility, or shall we say, transparency of your crosshair
  • Thickness is, well, a weird setting if you go too far
  • The size determines the length of the crosshair lines
  • The outline is that black outline around the crosshair. Some people say it helps them a lot when they are looking at surfaces that are too similarly colored to their crosshairs.
  • Dot is to check if you want a dot in the middle of your crosshair or not. Some people use both crosshair and dot, some people just use crosshair, and some people just use the dot, but realistically, nobody renounces both.

Under these parameters, you will see what the config looks like for this crosshair. The upper one is sorted pleasantly and is easy to add to your .cfg file, while the bottom one, that’s in a text line, is easy to just copy and paste directly into CS:GO. Dathost also has a tutorial for this.

And there you have it! We hope you’ll draw a nice crosshair for yourself and that it will help you play better. Check out our other CS:GO articles at the tag below.
