“Bill Clinton” Boy Who Snuck On Stage at The Game Awards Has Been Arrested

The 2022 Game Awards just finished and, after a stellar showcase of new world premieres and fantastic performances, ended on a strange note. Audiences watching around the world were perplexed after Hidetaka Miyazaki of From Software finished his speech for Elden Ring’s Game of the Year win when an unknown person scooted between the developers and mumbled something that had everyone scratching their heads in confusion.

“I think I want to nominate this award to my reformed orthodox rabbi, Bill Clinton” says the uninvited guest who nonchalantly walked on stage with the From Software developers as they accepted their award. Suspicions were already rising when the Japanese developers huddled around the microphone, followed by a young man who gave off obvious signs of being where he wasn’t suppose to.

Geoff Keighley, executive producer and host of the Game Awards, confirmed suspicions in his latest tweet, where he announced that the unknown individual who interrupted the Game of the Year speech has been arrested.

Right now, the identity of the stage invader seems to be unknown, though it appears that this idea was planned in advance, as shown in a text message exchange between Twitter user @MKUltraMoney and an unknown person. If the conversation is to be authentic, it looks like this isn’t the individual’s first time at interrupting something he wasn’t supposed to be a part of.

As odd as the incident was, and despite the humorous memes that are already popping up as a result, there’s something to be said about a completely random and unauthorized individual to be able to waltz on stage with game designers, presenters, and other professionals at the biggest video game awards show in the world. Undoubtedly, the security will need a little tightening up for future shows.
