Warhammer 40K: Darktide has a long list of penances you have to complete, from account wide to character-specific. Each of these awards entirely cosmetic Penance Points, alongside certain cosmetics for completing specific challenges. You can also get hats for completing groups of challenges, which gives a nice bonus to the most dedicated of players. One such challenge, needed for the Ogryn Skullbreaker, is a little tough to get at first but is easier once you learn a key detail. Here’s how to complete the Gone Bowling penance in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.
How to Finish Gone Bowling in Darktide
According to the Ogryn Skullbreaker’s penance page, Gone Bowling asks you to knock down 70 enemies with a single Bull Rush, particularly while on Malice difficulty or higher. As much as that might sound easy, especially given the Ogryn’s ability to knock enemies around with its Bull Rush, you may notice yourself only getting about half the amount needed from any particular Bull Rush.
This is because of two secret requirements. The first is to play on the Special Condition Endless Horde. This spawns many more enemies, making knocking down 70 enemies much easier. The other requirement is the level 30 feat Unstoppable, which doubles your Bull Rush distance and makes it uninterruptible unless hitting a Monstrosity. Having these two requirements will allow you to complete the challenge.

Outside of those, there are many things you can do that aren’t 100% necessary but can alleviate much of the annoyance. Running the Ogryn Skullbreaker’s level 15 feat Bullfighter can help to get your Bull Rush back much faster after using it. Another helping hand is your choice of map, which should have several long corridors for you to make use of your Bull Rush. We find that either Consignment Yard or Power Matrix will work wonders, but if you have another idea for a map, feel free to use it.
Otherwise, with some luck and proper timing, Gone Bowling should be yours. You’ll even get to see a ton of enemies go flying, which is just a bonus.
