Like most MMOs (and online games in general), there is an AFK timer that forcefully disconnects you from the game server when you are not active for a prolonged period of time. This is important for most online games nowadays, especially the popular ones, as there are often times queues to get in the server, and of course, you are reading this article because you do not want to lose your spot and go back to the end of the line (nightmarish, isn’t it?).

How to Prevent Being Kicked For Being AFK in New World? – DIY

We fully understand that it’s troublesome to wait in virtual, long queue lines to enter a server, so it is only natural that many players worldwide are resorting to different strategies in order to not get kicked. Understand that bypassing the AFK timer might be against the Terms of Service and that you may be reprimanded according to the policies of New World if reported and/or caught. Here are some DIY ideas which you can try to use (at your own risk):

  • Use software that can be programmed to press a button on your keyboard every now and then, and map the button to a jump function, or anything that will break your “AFK” flag. Be careful when downloading third-party software and make sure they are virus-free.
  • Invent a contraption that will press your mouse or keyboard automatically. Most of us are guilty of taping a pen or a similar object to a rotating fan that bumps our space bar while cooling the room at the same time.
