Do you play Marvel Snap? The new digital card game is based on the rich Marvel universe full of recognizable superheroes. The game is available for PC and mobile, where you can collect cards with your favorite Marvel characters, win battles, and earn currency to level up cards – you know, usual card game stuff. But, can you play Marvel Snap with friends? Like, have a VS battle to go head to head and test your best cards against them? Let’s find out.
How to Play Marvel Snap Against Friends?
When you enter Marvel Snap after updating your client (after January 31st 2023 Patch) you will see a Joystick icon in the bottom right corner which is named “Game Modes”. Click it, and then click the image “Friendly Battle”.
There, you will have two options. One is “Create” and the other is “Join”. The Region is automatically assigned based on your geolocation, so in case you want to brawl against your friends from another multiverse, you better have a VPN to there.
After you create your game, your Match Code will be visible. You can tell it to your friend, or write it out, or copy it from the game and paste it to them on Discord for example.
When you want to join your friend who created a game, you should click Join and then type/paste the code that is given to you. After you type your code, hit Join and let the matchmaking servers join you in a brawl to death!
What are the rules of Friendly Battle Mode in Marvel Snap?
- Every player starts with 10 health. In order to win, you need to deal 10 damage to your opponent.
- When you win a round, you deal damage equal to the cube value that you’ve won. So, if you retreat at start, you lose 1 health. If you win at the end of the match where you won 4 cubes, you deal 4 damage to your opponent’s health.
- Slow betting is punished by the game which starts every match snapped from Round 5 onward.
Then, any of the players is allowed to Snap! and raise the stakes to 8 cubes (raising by both to 16 is not possible).
Worth noting: no rewards are offered by playing this mode.
How to Add Friends in Marvel Snap
Adding Friends (despite us having Snap IDs) is not possible yet.
