There have been a few sleeper hits in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded tied to the assault rifle or submachine gun classes, and the CX-9 is surely one of them. The potential that this Modern Warfare SMG contains has allowed it to move up and down in the meta charts within the battle royale.
In the latest buff for the CX-9, which went live at the end of September, there were a few damage changes for the better. Headshot damage multipliers were increased, Neck damage multipliers went up a bit, and the sprint-to-fire speed on the weapon went up by 5%. With these changes in mind, we have the best loadout possible for those who want to start using the Modern Warfare SMG.
Warzone Season 5 Reloaded – Best CX-9 Loadout
Warzone players can build their CX-9 submachine gun in a few different ways depending on the playstyle they want. However, the sniper support secondary is the best use of them all in comparison. That means it takes a back seat but is great as a versatile tool along with a sniper. You can find all of the attachments listed below.
- Barrel: CX-38s
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Rear Grip: CX-9 TAC Grip
- Optic: Solozero Optics Mini Reflex
- Magazine: 50 Round Drums
First on the list is a new barrel for the CX-9 which is the most important attachment in the loadout. Applying the CX-38s barrel gives the SMG more bullet velocity, control, and range. Those stats are always used for sniper support weapons, but there’s another benefit as well. The barrel has an integral suppressor that would serve the same purpose as a Monolithic Suppressor. We lose some mobility, but it’s worth it.

After the barrel, we need some support attachments that go in the grip slots. Because we aren’t focused on close quarters alone, it’s important to have some control and mobility that work in tandem. Both the CX-9 TAC Grip and the Commando Foregrip will ensure that the Modern Warfare SMG has plenty of sniper support utility.
Our last two attachments are fairly straightforward. We just need an optic and a magazine to ensure the weapon is well-suited to Warzone Season 5 Reloaded. The 50 Round Drums are necessary but the Solozero Optics Mini Reflex is always a personal preference. It will at the very least give you a good sight for close to mid-range combat.
