Portunid Location Guide in Tower of Fantasy

Portunids are small crabs located along the Barrenstown and Mega Arena coastlines. As you travel along the water, you’ll find them scuttling around the sand in these areas. While they do not spawn in abundance, they respawn periodically, allowing you to return later and snag more. The areas circled below are the main places you’ll find Portunids walking around.

Unlike plants or other gatherable materials, Portunids are animals you must slay to get as a drop. Once you defeat the Portunid, you’ll receive one as an item in your inventory. When completing Taste of the Sea, you’ll have to repeat this three times to finish the mission. Make sure you don’t start looking beyond the coastline since Portunids do not spawn on grass!

Interestingly, Portunids are not limited to quest items. You can also use them as a cooking ingredient to either make a specific dish or increase your success chances at making a random one. In the case of a specific dish, you can make Steamed Crab using two Portunids and two Lettuce.
