There is no shortage of minions to collect in FFXIV. These cute little companions will follow you around and are sometimes cool to show off to other players to let them know what sort of achievements and trials you conquered in-game. Some are much harder to get than others. Here’s how to get the Chewy minion in FFXIV.
How to Get the Chewy Minion in FFIXV
If you’re looking to get the chewy minion, which was introduced in Patch 6.1, you’re going to need a few things. First up, you’re going to need a Retainer, which if you don’t know is a character players can hire in any major city to hold items, sell things on the Market Board, and even go on ventures to bring items back for the player.
Each Retainer can have different jobs ranging from your classic jobs like Dragoon and Warrior to more specialized fields like Botany. In order to get the Chewy minion, you’ll need to train your Retainer as a Botanist and get it to level 90. This is done by simply sending your retainer on different ventures as a Botanist to level them up.
Sned your Retainer on a level 90 Woodland Exploration and they have a small chance of bringing the minion back from the venture. If you don’t want to train your Retainer up (which could take weeks) you can also buy the Chewy minion on the Market Board since it is a tradeable item.
