Gotham Knights Release Date Confirmed; Coming October 2022

Today, the folks over at WB Games Montreal have finally settled on a release date for its upcoming “Bat Family” brawler, Gotham Knights. Previously aimed at 2021 before the pandemic we’re pretending is over was in full force, Gotham Knights is now set to launch on October 25, 2022.

Originally revealed during the summer of 2020, Gotham Knights is a co-op action/RPG/brawler hybrid featuring four of Batman’s renowned sidekicks. Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing and Red Hood will all be playable in this open world affair, ostensibly using tools related to the Arkham games. However, WB Montreal has previously confirmed there are no narrative ties to that series, putting Gotham Knights in its own universe.

WB Montreal previously developed Batman: Arkham Origins in 2013. A prequel to Rocksteady’s Arkham trilogy (?) Origins was met with a rocky reception due to technical issues at launch and its tenuous connection to Rocksteady’s titles. That said, as far as this writer is concerned Origins is lowkey the best one. That’s a can of worms we’ve opened far too many times over the last near decade, though.

Gotham Knights will be available on October 25, 2022 for the PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Series X|S and PC.
