Why play Minecraft in Minecraft when you could play DOOM in Minecraft instead? Luckily, there is a mod for that and this mod lets players take on the hordes of Hell alongside Steve and friends.
The world of modding is awesome and Minecraft offers some of the best of the best. That being said, there are some pretty nifty DOOM mods as well, so we guess it was only natural that the shall finally meet with a little gameception to make things just weird enough to be cool.
The DOOM Minecraft mod lets players play the classic DOOM experience within the world of Minecraft, as shown in the video below. We’ve actually written about this mod in the past when it was in its beginning stages, but now it looks pretty smooth all things considered:
I played DOOM in Minecraft with VMComputers mod. from r/Minecraft
And because this is a mod playing a game within the game, the popular and not at all overused joke of “but can it run Crysis” was the first comment up. That joke has been one for the ages and it didn’t take long for it to pop up once more because f u n n y.
So how does this mod run? “You gotta have a powerful PC,” the mod creator wrote in the responding thread. “XP is kinda laggy but still usable. I even tried to do that, installed Java etc but it’s asking me for Graphic Drivers. Honestly, I don’t think that’s possible but ima try harder tho.”

Making a PC IRL to make a PC in-game to play DOOM, a game, within Minecraft, another game. Seems legit, and honestly kind of cool. But first, you’ve got to build the PC and for that you’re going to want a lot of Obsidian and your hopes and dreams.
