Bugs and gaming go hand in hand, it seems one cannot exist without the other. Recently, a Call of Duty: Warzone revive bug has been plaguing players that are trying to save their teammates. As you might expect, this is not only annoying, but also troublesome if you can’t revive a downed teammate. In this guide, we are going to take a look at the revive bug to see what causes it and how to avoid it.
How to Avoid the Call of Duty: Warzone Revive Bug
Uncovered by a Redditor, the Warzone revive bug seems to affect players whose teammate is killed during a revive. Essentially, if a player is killed while you’re reviving them, the bug prevents your character from switching from a syringe back to a weapon. This means you’ll be stuck holding a syringe for the rest of the game, rendering you pretty much useless.
As you can see in the video above, the Redditor tries to quickly revive their teammate after they got knocked, but then an enemy appears out of nowhere and kills the downed teammate during the revive. The Redditor is able to escape successfully but is left running around with a syringe instead of a gun and is eventually forced to sit and hide. Luckily, it looks like the glitch allows you to keep your tactical and lethal weapons, so if you experience the bug, you’ll still have a fighting chance — just not a very good one.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t really seem like there is a way to fix the glitch once it’s happened. However, it appears that you can avoid it by making sure the area is clear before reviving a teammate. At the time of writing, it doesn’t seem that Infinity Ward has commented on the bug, so it could be a while before a fix is pushed to consoles and PC. It’s also unclear if the Warzone revive bug happens every time a player is killed during a revive, or if it only happens on occasion. At the very least, if this ever happens to you or a friend, you’ll know that you’re not alone.
