Pokemon GO Incense Day Event Guide

If you’re someone who has been enjoying the variety of things to do in Pokemon GO in the wake of COVID-19, we’re happy to add to that for you. Yes, we’re talking about Incense Day. This is a new event that’s being inserted into the game which will kick off on April 19, and it looks like it’s meant to diversify the types of Pokemon that you can pick up while you’re playing even from home – which might make up for all those miles that you can’t walk. We’ve got the breakdown here of how Incense Day is going to work, along with the various Pokemon types that it’s going to bring with it and the special Pokemon that you’ll get an increased chance of seeing so read on below. Incense Day will run from 11 AM to 5 PM on April 19, as mentioned, so you’re going to want to get ready – this timeslot applies across all regions.

  • Water: will spawn from 11 AM to 12 PM. You have an increased chance of getting Clamperl.
  • Fire: will spawn from 12 PM to 1 PM. You have an increased chance of getting Litwick.
  • Grass: will spawn from 1 PM to 2 PM. You have an increased chance of getting Ferroseed.
  • Psychic: will spawn from 2 PM to 3 PM. You have an increased chance of getting Gothita.
  • Bug: will spawn from 3 PM to 4 PM. You have an increased chance of Joltik.
  • Ground: will spawn from 4 PM to 5 PM. You have an increased chance of Drilbur.

For those who are already familiar with how incense works, you’ll be well-placed to see that Incense now lasts a full hour when used, so you’ll be able to maximise your efficiency when it comes to catching the various types of Pokemon with aplomb. If you’ve been just waiting for the time to add one of the special “increased chance” Pokemon to your arsenal, then there really is no other quite like the present. We’re very keen on getting Gothita, as we believe you’ll be hard-pressed to find anything cuter for quite some time.

Now that you have our Pokemon GO Incense Day event guide to hand, you’ll be able to make the most of this from home. It’s a bit of a weird one, but as we now know that the Community Day for Abra is also going to be postponed and reworked later on in the month, it could be a handy thing to look towards when you’re wanting to know how events will be held in Pokemon GO in the foreseeable future. If you need help with anything else in Pokemon GO, why not come and check out our dedicated guides hub for the game which has a bunch of tips and tricks for Trainers just like you?
