If you’ve been wanting to do some running and gunning with your mates in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, we’re sad to inform you that the servers have not come out unscathed after the latest playlist update that took place yesterday. It now appears that there may be another instance of Modern Warfare maintenance happening, or at least something else has the servers down right now. Here’s what we’ve gathered so far.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Maintenance Server Outage – What We Know
As mentioned, there’s likely been a lot of community interest in cracking into the newest playlist changes which bring back some favorites from recent previous rotations. However, if you were looking at taking the day to shoot things in Shipment 24/7 then you might have needed to raincheck on those plans because it looks like servers are currently down for a plethora of players across the following regions:
- United Kingdom
- United States
- Europe
Players are reporting that they’re being shunted off servers because of maintenance, but there’s been no confirmation on this from the official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Twitter account at this stage. Everyone’s frothing for Season 2 of the acclaimed shooter, so it’s no surprise that this delay and the fact that people haven’t heard any word is a little frustrating.
This server maintenance queue error message is a little baffling since Activision’s site is currently reporting that the status of all platforms is Online, but hopefully this just means that a surprise update is being rolled out or that this heavy maintenance means a big content push is in our near future. At the moment, the message suggests that Modern Warfare maintenance is indeed the reason for the server outage but without confirmation from the likes of Activision Support, it’s not all that easy to tell. If the issue persists and we get word, we’ll update this post to reflect that.
