A new Wastelanders update is coming soon to Fallout 76 and is bringing with it key features players have been begging for. The lack of human NPCs (ones that are alive, we mean), lack of content, and the barebones survival experience was a major breaking point with a lot of Fallout 76 players but the upcoming Wastelanders update seeks to change all of that.

The Fallout 76 Wastelanders update will be free and will be arriving on April 7th. Not only is the largest (and most significant) update on the way for this April, but also the Steam version of the title as well giving even more ways for players to interact with what’s new.

From human NPCs that players have been begging for to a brand new main quest, Fallout 76 is getting a major overhaul that if players give it a chance could be the No Man’s Sky revival Bethesda has been working towards. As for a few of the features coming this April:

  • New Main Quest and Revamped Original Main Quest – Uncover the secrets of West Virginia by playing through an all-new main quest as well as a revamped original main quest line – with friends or solo – starting from the moment you leave Vault 76. New and veteran players alike will take on new missions, explore new locations and fight with (or against) the new faces that have made their long-awaited return to West Virginia.
  • Human NPCs – Befriend or betray new neighbors who have come to rebuild, and experience Appalachia through the eyes of its residents.
  • New Creatures and Gear – Take down newly mutated creatures finding their way to the region and earn the highest tier of weapons and armor.
  • Choices and Reputation – Alter the fates of those you meet with classic dialogue trees. Decisions affect your standing with each faction through an all-new reputation system.

For those that already own Fallout 76, the Wastelanders update is completely free and a chance for new beginnings. To learn more about what else is coming to the Wastelanders update in Fallout 76, you can check out the official website right here
