Ciri is beloved by most The Witcher fans, so what does the team over at CD Projekt RED regret about the character?  Apparently, the regret stems from a rose tattoo (eh, get it? stems), but it’s not just the tattoo that they are despairing on, but the bigger story surrounding it.

“There wasn’t really space for unpacking this complex episode in the Wild Hunt, and it’s a shame,” Szamalek tells PC Gamer (issue 338, courtesy of PCGamesSN). “In this moment of life, Ciri gave in to her darker side, followed her worst instincts. Showing this transition, and the remorse which followed, would have made a great story.”

That’s not to say that the tattoo didn’t make an appearance at all, she does mention a vague reasoning behind the decision to get inked up, but the attention given to this detal could have been much greater – and should have been much greater, according to the devs.

That being said, there’s still so much depth to this character that the team took special care with, and special care they did if the numerous awards and constant devotion the fan-base has in regards to the game adaptation of the Polish novels that have now inspired a Netflix series.
