A recent listing shows that Death Stranding may not be a PS4 exclusive after all. Death Stranding finally got a release date earlier this year, with confirmation that it would be a cross-generational title, but now it looks like there is even more evidence supporting that it won’t be the PlayStation 4 exclusive that it has been marketed as.
Following a box art leak earlier this year, Redditor ‘Vestan’ found a particular listing on PlayStation Australia’s website that no longer has the Hideo Kojima title listed as one of their exclusives. Given that it was there before, this move has raised a few eyebrows in the gaming scene, but don’t be tooting those PC celebratory horns quite yet.
While the lack of “PlayStation Only” or “PlayStation Exclusive” is suspiciously absent from all promo materials, including the box art, as of late, that doesn’t mean anything is set in stone until the studio themselves confirms the news. That being said, Kojima-san and co. have a “special” exclusive look during GamesCom this year, so if it’s no longer the exclusive we were led to believe, it would be during the Germany event that this announcement would be revealed.
As for the game itself, fans will finally get a chance to see the mysterious Death Stranding adventure for themselves when the game makes its grand debut on November 8th.
